Mx. Gunn as a Literacy Specialist for Genvoz:
Mx. Gunn planned and facilitated all Writing Workshops for Genvoz. Ze supported all directors and managers on skills including, but not limited to:
Mx. Gunn as an Instructor at Capital City Public Charter School: Mx. Gunn, a native Washingtonian joined Capital City in August 2017. As a New York City Teaching Fellow, Gunn completed zer Master in Education from Brooklyn College and has dual licenses in English and Special Education. Before joining Capital City, Mx. Gunn taught special and general education populations ranging from elementary school through graduate school. Ze also served as a professional development consultant for the Center for the Professional Education of Teachers at Teacher College, Columbia University. Ze is personally and professionally passionate about urban, adolescent academic excellence and educational equity. In addition to reading and writing, Gunn enjoys artistic and athletic pursuits including photography, personal training, and martial arts. |
Mr. Justin Lopez

Mr. Lopez as a Content Specialist for Genvoz:
While working across all departments, Mr. Lopez led Web Design Workshops that allowed Directors and Managers to feel confident in using the Weebly platform. He delegated cross-department responsibilities to Senior Executive Directors while responding to Executive Director reflections within departments to help support the Web Design process for Task Force Directors and Managers. Prior to the creation of Genvoz, Mr. Lopez taught 7th Grade Life Science standards that were directly relevant to all content published on this website. Mr. Lopez as an Instructor at Capital City Public Charter School: Mr. Lopez joined Capital City in August 2016, currently serving as the Middle School Science Department Chair and representative on the Middle School's Instructional Leadership Team. He holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at Chapel Hill, he was awarded a GAT Teaching Award from the Department of Chemistry. He taught Science at Lee High School in Florida and at Yeshiva of Greater Washington prior to joining Capital City. In addition to his work at Capital City, he works with Teach For America as a Teacher Educator Facilitator in Philadelphia. Mr. Lopez speaks Spanish and enjoys running, swimming, traveling, shopping, and being adventurous in his free time. |
